Baltic index scales 1-month high on company rates for larger vessels

The Baltic Exchange's dry bulk sea freight index rose to a onemonth high up on Monday, buoyed by firm capesize and panamax vessels rates.

* The general index, which consider rates for supramax, capesize and panamax shipping vessels, was up 27 points, or 1.8%, at 1,572 points, its highest because Jan. 10.
