Mexico oil firm Pemex's debt with providers increases 17.3% in March

Mexican state oil producer Pemex's financial obligation with providers increased 17.3% monthonmonth in March to 163.2 billion pesos ($ 9.53 billion), the business said in a report on Monday.

Pemex owes providers 162.9 billion pesos from this year and last, with projects and products pending billing at the end of March for another 326 million pesos.

The business, which owes an additional $106.1 billion in monetary debts, paid worth 505.9 billion pesos in 2023 and 2024.

The report excludes debt originating from disagreements or taxes, and jobs in conciliation procedures with creditors.

For months, the energy business has dealt with severe troubles paying suppliers, professionals and oil operators, who have actually cautioned that a lack of compliance might result in production drops and threaten personal business.
